HVS PTA

What is the PTA?

The PTA (or Parent Teacher Association) is a way for parents and families to come together to support our children and school.

We like to work on projects that are fun and exciting for the kids, bring the local community together, and fundraise for items that will help inside and outside the classroom.

What does the PTA do?

In the last couple of years, the PTA has:

Covid has slowed us down a bit, but we have lots of great ideas - we just need some people power. If you or your children have enjoyed some of the above, please consider how you may be able to assist.

What happens at a meeting?

Meetings are held two to three times a term, and usually take about an hour. We begin with a Principal’s report, which is a great way to hear about everything happening at school, and we then chat through current projects and new ideas.

Everyone is welcome - attend just one meeting, or all, and there is no commitment required.

If you can’t attend meetings, just get in touch and we can find another way to keep you up to date and involved.

What can I do? What skills are needed?

All sorts! You can join as a member and take up a role that suits you on one of our projects, or just help out when we need a spare pair of hands to flip sausies or pass out ice blocks.

Keen to get involved?

Whether you can only lend a hand from time to time, or want to join one of our project teams, please get in touch!

We also have regular sponsorship opportunities
